Many intellectuals tried their best to beat her. But they couldn't succeed.
One day, a firewood vendor was
shouting outside her house. Getting irritated by his sound, she offered to buy
the load, for which the vendor demanded a handful grain.
She offered him a handful of grain. But the vendor said, "I need a handful grain, Madam. Have you understood me?". Vidyullatha angrily yelled at the vendor, "I am the most learned lady. I can understand what you ask."
The vendor said that she should
pay him a thousand coins and wipe the hoarding on the wall if she couldn't pay
back the price he asked. That led them to a heated argument. They both decided
to go to court.
