The Fox and The Crow – Moral Story for Kids
One day, a hungry fox was searching for food. But he could not find any food. At that moment, he saw a crow flying above him with a fine piece of cheese in her beak.
“Mmmm, that cheese looks delicious,” said the Fox and followed the crow. The crow sat on a branch of the tree.
The Fox walked up to the foot of the tree and said, ” Oh! Miss Crow! How beautiful you are today! How fine your feathers are! How bright are your eyes? So your voice must be beautiful too. Please, let me hear you sing.”
The crow was hugely flattered on hearing such complimentary talks. The Crow gave a loud caw to show the Fox that she could sing. As soon as she opened her beak, the piece of cake fell from his beak.
The clever Fox picked it up and said, “You foolish crow, never trust flatterers”.
The Fox ate the cheese and ran away laughing. The Crow sat there silently, thinking how foolish it was.
